This came to mind one morning on my way to work. It was such a beautiful day and I thought of you :)

Do you ever feel like there are far too many people? I mean, if you believe in what the lady lead in Before Sunrise says, about the magic between people (which I do), there just isn't enough to go round. We can blame it on a desensitised society, laziness and so on, but maybe there's just a certain cap to the number of people we are capable of having real connetions to at once. The rest just dissoves into a background of shallow relations. Like in Fight Club, the idea of single-serving friends. Single-serving everything. The inevitable truth of modern life. Back to the first thought of out overpopulation, as I jostled among the mass of corporate men and women swarming to the base of the Raffles Place MRT escalator, I was hit by a sudden vision of some sort of giant looking down upon us in about as much disgust as would any of us looking at a cluster of ants around spilled syrup would feel.

Added to my List of Favourite Movies is City of God.
