When all is said and done,
what then?
Stillness is a dream;
I only hope that
it is everything moving forth,
not I falling backwards.
And if I cannot keep up
will you fight the rapids
to make it back to me?
But when the tide rolls over our heads
and black depth wraps our bodies down
I shall kiss you my last breath,
send you upwards with all my strength.
